The Department of Family Medicine provides patient-centered primary care education, clinical service, and discovery to enhance health and health status of individuals, families, and communities.
We provide primary and continuing care for entire families within their communities; addresses physical, psychological and social problems; and coordinates comprehensive health care services with other specialists as needed.
Diagnose and manage common symptoms and common medical,surgical and psychosocial problems in patients of all ages and both sexes with special emphasis on the child, the adolescent, the woman and the elderly; Identify conditions that need referral and refer appropriately to coordinate the patient's health care. After completing postgraduate training in Family Medicine from the National Board of Examinations, gathered clinical experience as specialist in various hospitals in India and Abroad. Has experience as co-ordinator of DNB Family Medicine training programme.
