Dr. Manju Mathew is an alumnus of Government Medical College, Alleppey and went on to complete her post-graduate training in Ophthalmology from Christian Medical College, Ludhiana.

She then moved to Orissa and set up a Community Ophthalmology Program in partnership with Sight Savers International. After her further training in surgery at Joseph’s Eye Hospital, Trichy she performed many cataract surgeries and addressed other Ophthalmic problems. She then joined the team at Govt. Medical College, Ernakulam and spent a few years involving in both academic and surgical work.

Following this, she moved to Sankara Nethralaya, a renowned Eye Institute in Chennai and served in the capacity of Associate Consultant at the Jaslok Community Ophthalmic Centre (JCOC). Here she was involved in performing surgeries and training of post-graduate students and trainees in both Small Incision Cataract Surgeries (SICS) and Phacoemulsification.

She comes with 22 years of experience in both clinical and surgical Ophthalmology work.
